Well, we survived with no power outages. YAY! We received a significant amount of ice followed by an equally significant amount of snow.
Today hubby went to the plant to assist with a project over there. It's a draw-down of the freezer system. If that goes well and the start up goes well, then we may be able to take a short trip home. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news.
After being outside to snap a few photos I decided a little cocooning was in order. So I popped up some corn and am settling down for a Cary Grant movie on TCM. It's Operation Petticoat, one of my all-time faves.
How are you spending the day?

I'm spending the day stuck at work with my dog, who gave me sad puppy dog eyes as I was leaving - he knows I'm a sucker for it! So he got to come to work with me.
Glad you are staying warm and cozy, I'm jealous!
Hey, sounds like a great indoors day!
Did you know, BTW, that all of the silly parts of OP are based on true incidents in WW2? One of our subs did have continuing problems getting toilet paper; another had to put to sea painted only in red (not pink) paint, which confused the Japanese; another sub transported Army nurses; yet another sub had a torpedo run up on the beach and blow up a truck!
Wish that I could send you some sun from Thailand. I'd have to say that I am missing my winter this year. I was hoping to be back to the states this month, but that isn't happening anymore. Get to go home in May....BOOOHOOOO.
Have fun riding out the storm and hope to see you both at a rally sometime this year.
