Today we pack the truck and start the journey. We have an overnight stop to make to take care of some unfinished business in the morning and then we'll officially be on the road to New England.
Right now It's 4:30 am. Both of us have been awake for about an hour. There are small piles scattered all around the condo. The fridge is empty, breaker off and I've got three loads of laundry to do. Just a bit of running around today and I think we're finished. Can't wait.
After our quick errand, we'll pick up the airstream in Ohio, spend the day packing and getting ready, and on Saturday wind our way northeast. We'll be passing through NE Ohio (I-90/Ohio Turnpike) toward Buffalo then settle outside of Syracuse for the night. Then the next morning we'll get up and make a leisurely trip to Salisbury, MA.
We only booked a week at this campground. If we like it, we'll make arrangements to stay longer. We just felt it would be better to feel each other out and see if it's a mutually good fit.
I'm still jonesing for seafood - lobster, broiled fish, chowdah, etc. We plan on taking advantage of the full variety available on the coast. Hubby also found a great little family-owned Italian joint in the town where the plant is located.
So there you have it, the ramblings of a traveling gnome...
Stay tuned for more road-worthy adventures!!!!!!
